Snowball Expeditions Everest Base Camp Expedition, 10-26 Aug 2009. Congratulations to all the Team on reaching Everest Base Camp and much thanks to the Himalayan Guides and Porters without whom the magnificent journey would not have been possible. And a huge thank you to all the sponsors who donated I.T., Educational and Sports Equipment to Monjo School. Teachers, Pupils, Parents and many villagers showed much gratitude and appreciation when the 1st Team this year led by Explorer Mark Wood from Snowball Expeditions arrived laden with all the much needed equipment and personal gifts from the Team Members themselves en-route to Everest Base Camp. The children presented the whole Team with white silk scarfs, milk tea and home made biscuits during a very moving presentation of their own. Later in the evening using the Laptop Computers and Digital Projector practically the whole village watched a film on a huge make shift screen. The 2nd Team from Snowball Expeditions is expected to arrive early next week and the 3rd in about 3 weeks time each team laden with equipment and gifts for Monjo School.
During the next 3 years Snowball Expeditions intends to sponsor and help as many schools as possible that line the route to Everest Base Camp.
